Creative Director Workflow
Goals
The primary goal of the Creative Director is to safeguard the consistency and quality of Gitcoin's visual identity across all initiatives. This requires understanding the notion of branding as a narrative that fosters community engagement and necessitates familiarity with the tools needed for its translation. Furthermore, it requires establishing effective working relationships with the designers tasked with making GitCoin’s brand tangible.
Hazards
- Designer neglect or overwhelm - Neglecting team connections or asking too much of designers can lead to negative consequences such as resentment, inefficiency, and poor work quality.
- Inconsistencies - Loosing track of ongoing projects may cause inconsistency in visual identity.
Skill Requirements
The specific skill requirements for this position include:
- Web3 Experience: General understanding of the Web3 landscape
- Deep Understanding of GC: Ability to translate a brand's narrative and story into visuals and user experience
- Brand and Product Experience: Understanding and empathy for designers' needs and challenges. Knowledge of UI/UX and accessibility considerations.
- Collaboration skills: Strong communication and rapport-building skills
- Adaptability: Calm and flexibility in a fast-paced work environment
- Quality control: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality design output.
