The main goal of the Brand and Marketing Strategist is to craft a compelling narrative or story for Gitcoin and their associated products, ensuring that it is well-communicated both visually and verbally in order to create a clear and impactful message.
Hazards
- Info silos - Isolated pockets of information, which can hinder understanding and collaboration.
- Lack of trust and context - Building trust takes time and can be a challenge when first working with people. Additionally, people may not grasp the importance of branding or why it is worth investing time and effort into it. Contextual information is crucial to address this issue.
- Time constraints - There may be situations where there is a rush to complete tasks, followed by periods of waiting. This start-stop dynamic can disrupt momentum, especially in projects with long timelines.
- Branding shortcomings - Branding efforts that fall flat or products that under-deliver. The brand is the first impression people have and what they read and see. It plays a significant role in shaping perceptions and can affect the overall success or failure of a project. No matter how appealing the branding is, it cannot mask underlying issues with the product itself. The product must deliver on its promises.
- Negative feedback - There may be instances where the branding fails to fully capture the intended mission and vision, leading to shortcomings or disconnects.
